Petwings flies cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, and other pets to provinces throughout South Africa and to countries all over the world, including Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, China, Mauritius, Israel, Emirates, Portugal, The Netherlands, Germany, Nigeria, Japan, and Ireland.
Petwings also handles pet imports into South Africa, as well as permits, customs clearances, State Vet, and other required medical procedures.
Petwheels, which works closely with Petwings, consists of a customised fleet of pet transport vehicles driven by certified and well-trained animal lovers. Petwheels drop off and fetch pets from OR Tambo International Airport, which is just a 15-minute drive from Keringa-Petwings’ premises, as well as people’s homes. From Johannesburg, Soweto and Pretoria to Durban, East London, and even Botswana, our temperature-controlled vehicles provide safe, comfortable, reliable, and dedicated transport for dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, and other pets. Long-distance trips are done by two drivers, who alternate shifts – we never leave pets in our vehicles overnight. Our drivers also stop regularly to check on their precious cargo, give them fresh water, feed them, and medicate them if necessary.

In accordance with international rules and regulations, pets must have access to food and water via secure bowls inside their travel containers. Our travel containers, made to the highest international standards, have secure bowls and absorbent bedding, and we include favourite toys and T-shirts with their owners’ scents on them to make pets as comfortable as possible.
They will need to clear customs, and then depending on the rules of that country, either spend the required period in quarantine or go straight home to you.
