✈ That to obtain an import permit for your dog or cat, their vaccinations have to be up-to-date:

Cats: 3-in-1 OR 4-in-1, Rabies, Leukaemia
Dogs: 5-in-1, Rabies and Bordetella (kennel cough)
These vaccinations are all valid for one year only.

✈ If you have a Bengal Cat, you must prove 5 generations of the bloodline to be accepted into New Zealand.

✈ There are 3 quarantine stations in Auckland (Auckland Quarantine, PetHaven Quarantine, and Qualified Pet Services), and 1 in Christchurch (Canterbury Quarantine Station).

✈ Birds are not allowed to enter New Zealand from South Africa, you can only import birds into New Zealand from Australia.
