Ingredients:

  • 1 Lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
  • 2 Medium carrots, diced
  • 2 Celery stalks, diced
  • 1 Small sweet potato, peeled and cubed
  • 1 Zucchini (baby marrow), chopped
  • 1/2 Cup peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 6 Cups water (or low-sodium, onion/garlic-free homemade chicken broth)
  • 1/4 Cup fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional but good for fresh breath)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil (optional — helps coat fur & adds flavour for humans)

Instructions:

    1. Sauté olive oil over medium heat.
    2. Add carrots and celery and sauté for another 2–3 minutes.
    3. Place chicken, sweet potato, and water into the pot.
    4. Bring to a gentle boil.
    5. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the veggies are soft.
    6. Dish up two bowls of deliciousness (let your pup’s serving cool down first)

Tips:

  • Always serve at room temperature for pets.
  • Avoid adding salt, onions, garlic, or any seasoning—these can be harmful to dogs.
  • You can blend the soup slightly for smaller dogs or those with chewing difficulties.

We hope that you and your dogs savour this wonderful winter soup recipe! 🐾
